AIHS and the Hotel Kurrajong are located on National Circuit in the leafy streets of Barton, adjacent to the parliamentary triangle and close to Canberra’s business, cultural and tourism heart.

Comfortable, clean and modern facilities

Our modern teaching facilities include lecture rooms, seminar rooms, a computer lab, library and resource centre.

Accommodation

Due to the demands of late night and early morning training shifts, and so that students can bond with each other and become familiar with Canberra in a supported way, students live on-campus. Students reside in well-appointed single hotel-style rooms with ensuite or shared bathrooms. All rooms have heating, a private telephone and 24/7 internet access. Student rooms are serviced once a week and all linen is provided.

Other facilities

Other on-campus facilities include a student gymnasium and a recreation room with plasma TV, cable television, and a DVD player, as well as a pool table and tabletop football. There is also an outdoor courtyard with a basketball hoop and a barbecue area with picnic tables for students to socialise outdoors.

Counselling and care

Students have access to a full range of academic, pastoral and other support services, including counselling on both academic and personal matters, and a duty manager who is available 24/7 for any emergencies.
