Orientation Program

To ensure students make a smooth transition into their new life at the AIHS, an Orientation Program (usually 3 days) is run during the week prior to classes commencing. The program provides the opportunity for students to meet with their lecturers and other key staff, learn about policies and practices at the School, and about life on campus.

Sessions on Study Skills and Library Skills are held as part of the Orientation Program. During these sessions students will learn how to access online and print resources available in the AIHS Library, including the Library Catalogue, databases, and statistical and reference collections as well the effective use of the Internet for business and company research.

An Orientation Program for parents is also conducted, the aim being for parents to gain an understanding of what their son or daughter will experience during the course of their study at the AIHS and to provide an insight into the operations of the AIHS, the people who make up the ‘AIHS Team’ and to meet with parents of other new students.
