Your shopping experience in our national capital can run the gamut from leading department stores and fashion boutiques to market bric-a-brac and craft works straight from the studio. Canberra has a number of major shopping centres with a large number of chain retail outlets, boutique stores, food courts and supermarkets. Alternatively there are many trendy boutique-shopping outlets around Canberra, scattered throughout both cosmopolitan and residential areas.

City shops are mostly open seven days a week from 9am to 5.30pm, late night shopping occurs on Fridays until 9pm and weekend shopping is available from 9am to 4pm.
