Pathways

There are various way students can gain admission into AIHS as well as pathways to further education once you graduate.

English Language Program (ELP)

If an international student applying to AIHS and does not meet the English language requirements, the student can enrol with the Academy of English (Blue Mountains) which delivers the ELP courses on the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School campus. Students live with carefully selected homestay families in the local area.

Cert IV in Business Credit Transfer Entry

Students who have completed Certificate IV in Business delivered by the colleges of the Academies Australiasia Group in Sydney may be granted credit transfer for the first year business core subjects in any of the undergraduate programs.

Academies Australasia

The Academies Australasia Group of Colleges is owned and managed by Garratt’s Limited, a company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange that has been operating for more than 100 years. Public listed status means that apart from having to meet the well regarded, carefully supervised standards of the international education market, Academies Australasia colleges must also comply with the strict financial and reporting regulations of the Australian Stock Exchange.

There are six colleges, each a separate company with its own licence to operate as an education institution - in Australia:

Academy of English (ELICOS) [Including Academy of English (Blue Mountains)

Australian International High School (Senior High School)

Academy of Social Sciences (Vocational)

Australian College of Technology (Vocational)

Clarendon Business College (Vocational)

Supreme Business College (Vocational)

Blue Mountains Intertnational Hotel Management School

Since 1991 the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School has provided international qualifications in hospitality and tourism management to over 2,500 graduates, many now in senior management positions worldwide.

A key feature of the School is that students live on campus and learn in a simulated hotel environment. Together with this knowledge, and industry experience gained throughout their course,  students are well prepared for senior roles in the hospitality industry.

Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School offers a Bachelor of Business (International Hotel & Resort Management) with AIHS graduates being able to complete a double degree after completing their studies at AIHS.

The University of Queensland

The University of Queensland (UQ) endorses the Bachelor of Business degrees delivered by the Australian International Hotel School.

The School of Tourism at The University of Queensland is pleased to quality endorse these bachelor degrees. Our strategic partnership has brought benefits in both research and industry connectivity. The pathways between our institutions give all students a unique opportunity to experience an industry focused education in a Swiss styled hotel school environment combined with a leading tourism and hospitality program from a Top-50 world class university.
