Australian International Hotel School (AIHS)
The AIHS is a small, specialised institution that delivers a university level business degree with a focus on tourism and hospitality. The AIHS provides a high level of personal service with small class sizes of between 15 to 30 students. The campus consists of the

Meet and interact with students from all over the world that currently study at the AIHS. During Career Focus Days, many of these students will act as AIHS Ambassadors to make sure you have the best experience possible.
Get to know our Lecturers
The AIHS is proud of its internationally qualified and experienced lecturing staff. We promote an open door policy where students have direct access to faculty whenever they need assistance. During Career Focus Days, you will have the opportunity to meet many of the people who deliver the degree. You will even sit in on lectures and get involved in hands on activities in learning more about the industry.
An insight to the degree program
Career Focus Days gives you the opportunity to understand the AIHS’ three year Bachelor of Business (Hotel Management) degree and four year Master of Hotel Management degree. We include an overview of the academic program, together with information about the practical component of the degree (includes up to nine months paid employment anywhere in the world).
Interact with the Industry
Speak first hand with industry professionals and take a look behind the scenes through a series of site visits. Workshops will also be delivered via the AIHS’ own four star boutique hotel - the Hotel Kurrajong.
AIHS Campus Accommodation
Whilst on Career Focus Days, you will stay on campus. Each room is furnished and supplied with bedding, linen and towels. Fees for Career Focus Days also include all meals and activities.
What do I Wear?
You will be required to wear smart casual clothing whilst undertaking most activities with enclosed shoes and business attire during industry visits. Casual clothes can be worn during periods of free time as well as evening social activities and tours to places of interest throughout

Getting to the AIHS
Check in at the AIHS is before 10:00am on the Tuesday, with the program ending on Thursday afternoon at 4:00pm. The AIHS provides free transfers to and from your arrival/departure destination in Canberra, including

Rebate on Career Focus Days fees
Participants who attend Career Focus Days and subsequently enrol in the AIHS Bachelor of Business (Hotel Management) degree will receive full credit for Career Focus Days fees paid.
How do I Apply?
Email aihs.info@aihs.edu.au for an Application Form to be sent to you. A brief suitability interview is required before you may be accepted to a Career Focus Days. You must show your interest in the industry and that you are motivated and willing to get involved during your time with us! Simply contact us through the below details and send us the required payment of $110 or $165 or $220 or $325 depending on which Career Focus Days(see above) you are applying to attend. (This includes all accommodation, meals, and activities for the duration of the Career Focus Days) and 2 passport sized photographs to:

Students get an insight into career options, discover the enormous variety of international career opportunities and got to take a look behind the scenes at some of Canberra’s top hotels.
Students' enjoy a range of social activities giving them excellent opportunities to spend time with and learn from current AIHS students! On departure from the school at the end of the Career Focus Days, students leave with a firm grasp of what the AIHS has to offer. An overwhelming enjoyment of the Career Focus Days spent at the school is evident and many students have strong intentions to return in the future to study at AIHS. |
