Domestic students

AIHS is pleased to announce that from January 2010 there will be a new domestic scholarship. We will be offering 1 x domestic scholarship up to the value of AUD$20,000 for each intake per year. This scholarship will be offered to students enrolling in either the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School or the Australian International Hotel School. However only one student will be awarded the scholarship (unless one outstanding recipient cannot be agreed on then the above amount may be split).

The scholarship will still be awarded as a credit from the residential fees as below:

Year 1 - AUD$6665.00

Year 2 - AUD$6665.00

Year 3 - AUD$6670.00

Applicants are asked to submit the following information:

• A letter of request outlining their merit and need for the scholarship
• Their resume outlining their schooling, work experience, extracurricular activities, career goals, interests and hobbies etc
• Certified copies of any certificates and transcripts received (including year 11 & 12 results where applicable)
• Letters of reference from a teacher, principal or employer

The scholarship closing dates are:

April 2010 enrolment closes on 31 January 2010

July 2010 enrolment closes on 30 April 2010

September 2010 enrolment closes on 30 June 2010

The successful applicants will be contacted to take part in an interview process. The interview process may involve phone, face to face and panel interviews/workshop.

The successful applicant will be requested to assist with certain duties during their time as a student. These responsibilities will include but are not limited to becoming members of the SRC and assisting with visitor campus tours.

International students

In association with THE-ICE a 2 year Associate Degree of Business (International Hotel & Resort Management) scholarship is available.

• 1 x Associate Degree scholarship available
• To commence Semester 2 of each year (usually July)
• Scholarship offers a grant of AU $10,000 to contribute to Year 2 (only) Tuition Fees
