The School of Tourism at the University of Queensland

The University of Queensland (UQ) is renowned internationally for the quality of its teaching and research. It is a founding member of the Group of Eight; an alliance of research-strong universities committed to ensuring Australia has higher university institutions that are genuinely world class.

The University of Queensland offers comprehensive programs in tourism, leisure, and event and hospitality management, and is one of two institutions, the other being BMIHMS, in Australia to be accredited by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). The school offers a sophisticated suite of undergraduate and postgraduate research programs and has over 30 academic and research staff, as well as adjunct professors who represent leadership across a range of tourism-related fields.

Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, Leura, NSW

In 2005, AIHS became a sister school of the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS), located in Leura, NSW. Since 1991, BMIHMS has provided international qualifications in hospitality and tourism management to over 3,000 graduates, many of whom now hold senior management positions worldwide. Like AIHS, the school has gained an international reputation for the excellence of its educational offerings and strong links to industry.
