One of AIHS’s greatest strengths lies in its strong relationships within the hospitality industry, both here in Australia and internationally. This means that our graduates are exposed to networking opportunities throughout their education, which places them in strong stead to secure a great position even before they get out into the workforce.

In addition to supervised on-the-job training at the Hotel Kurrajong, during the course of their studies students attend career expos. Leading employers in the industry, such as the Hyatt and Four Seasons, also regularly make presentations at the school. Our Office of Career Development works closely with both current students and alumni to help them find industry jobs ideally matched to their skills and interests.

AIHS works closely with its Industry Advisory Board, who are all senior representatives of hospitality and tourism education and the hospitality, travel and tourism industry, to set the broad strategic framework for curriculum development so that it always remains at the cutting edge of industry trends and demands.
